🐾 About Me
I am currently working on spatiotemporal dynamics modeling and perturbation response modeling of single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data. If you are interested in academic collaboration, please feel free to email me at qiangwei_peng@stu.pku.edu.cn.
I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student in the School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University, advised by Prof. Tiejun Li (李铁军). Previously, I was a visiting student researcher in the Department of Genetics, Stanford University, working with Prof. Xiaojie Qiu (邱肖杰). I received my B.Sc. in Mathematics from Xiamen University, mentored by Prof. Wen Huang (黄文), and also earned a second bachelor’s degree in Economics.
My research lies at the intersection of mathematics, computational biology, and deep generative modeling. I develop mathematical and deep learning frameworks to reconstruct continuous cellular dynamics from single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data, and to model perturbation-response dynamics for building virtual cells.
Ultimately, I aim to enable predictive modeling of early developmental processes — from a single fertilized egg to a fully formed embryo. By creating virtual embryos, I hope to perform in silico experiments that complement or even replace traditional wet-lab approaches, advancing our understanding of developmental biology.
